Backup skips directory on drive (full and incremental)

We are a relativly new install. On 1 fileserver client we are unable to get a backup of a specific directory. We discovered this when attempting to restore. we found that other directories on this drive are successful.
We have checked perminssions, antivirus softwr. Support call placed. could use some insite and suggestions on what to look for.

Unless you have directive set to skip it - perhaps that directory is DFS root. In such case you should abandon saveset All and manually define savesets. Even if this would not be a DFS issue I would suggest that approach or to define only problematic directory as saveset to see what happens.

Hi,

If you are not using ALL saveset, please check the directory name is listed in the Save sets.

Check there is no skip directive set in server configuration, no nsr.dir file in the folder and the folder has some files and sub folders.

I have tried to be explicit with the saveset and used ALL.
It is a DFS shared directory.
Each backup just skips over it.

That is expected and documented in release supplement. You will need to manually define saveset.

In 7.3.2 some progress has been made and now you get warning about DFS root.
