Breaking up clone jobs

Hello, I have a clone job that requires two tapes and it takes a number of hours to complete.

A recent incident involving the required reboot of the backup server caused the tape clone process to be interrupted.

Is there any way to pause an nsrclone job and then restart it when the server is backup. It seems that if there is any interruption to the 6 hour clone prcess, I have to start all over again.

Thanks,

Chris

If this is a single save set, you have no alternative but to rerun the job.

Otherwiese you can use mminfo to get the list of save sets which have not been cloned yet (check the 'validcopies') and start an appropriate clone job.

The backup job actually covers multiple groups with many many savesets. Is there a "pause" method for this scenario?

The only alternative you have is to stop the group and to restart it. This is kind of equivalent.
