I have a host (AIX 5.3) that was moved to new hardware (via mksysb). Once the host was moved the networker backups stopped working. To try and get it to start working I have tried deleting the client from Networker, including old backups and nsr peer information. Deleted Networker client from the AIX host, including deleting all the data from /nsr and re-installing a fresh new client. No matter what I try, every time I attempt to add the host I receive this message on the server:
Connecting to host SERVERNAME failed. Unable to connect to server: Application ID 62 is not recognized
and see this message on the client in the daemon.raw:
39078 1443562720 0 0 5 1 975008 0 CLIENTNAME nsrexecd 14 %s error: %s%s 3 0 3 RAP 49 256 78374 151 An unsuccessful attempt to impersonate user %s was made by %s. If %s can be trusted, grant the user "Administrator" privileges on the NetWorker server 3 13 28 administrator@ 13 22 SYSTEM@SERVERNAME 13 22 SYSTEM@SERVERNAME 0 0
My setup is as follows:
Server: Windows 2008R2
Networker Server: 8.2.1.6.Build.806
Client: AIX 5.3
Client Ver: 7.6.5.7.Build.1231
What else can I try to get this client added back in to the Networker server?
I've had similar problem. Client v8.0.2.2, Console 8.2.2.0. When try to configure client using wizard I get the message "Unable to connect to server: Application ID 62 is not recognized". I Upgrade client to v8.2.2.0 and it solved my problem.

Sounds like you are using wizard. Use manual method instead (I suspect older NW code on older AIX code doesn't play nice with wizard).
