Hi All,

i done through these steps.

1. ping short & long name from client to server (& vice versa)
2. ping IP address from client to server (& vice versa)
3. check through name resolution DNS
4. nsradmin -s -p 390113 connects and works successfully
5. nsrports are enables 7937 and 7938

6. networker services restarted and clear temp files.

i got error message Cannot start portmapper.

please suggest me what to do to success backup.

    Might be that portmapper port used by NW is already taken by some other process or some other sort of conflict exists.

    Well, stop the service first.  Then do netstat -an | findstr 793 on that box.  That should show you if something else is using portmapper port.

    If not, check even logs on that machines, there might be some clue inside as well.
