Ecxhange cluster recovery
hi,
i have a cluster exchange of 2 nodes. the save set is MSEXCH:IS.
when i want to recover a certain mail box, the following error occurs:
ansrd: cannot look up save set for host MAILX-SRVR.sidf.gov.sa and savetime 1176931955
ansrd: vol_attr, err: aggr_rlists: bad return from vol_info
ansrd: Cannot find the volume needed
and on the Nwer exchange user it says trying to open a recovery session with the networker server.
alos, the list of the volume required is unkown. i checked my configuration and everything seems ok.

MAILX-SRVR is the name of virtual node ? which is the names of physical nodes ? Did you check if the MSEXCH:IS is in MAILX-SRVR client index save sets?

well, for the indexes, i have a pool that daily backs up the indexes and the bootstraps to a certain volume and be cloned daily to a different tape. this is done because i have daily incrmentals and weekly full backups groups. so, eventhough the schedule of the weekly full is set to skip while the incremental group is initiated
both groups initiate and the weekly full group backs up only the indexes and bootstraps and clones them to a certain tape. so, the savesets are on one volume and one tape and the bootstraps saved to different volumes and cloned to different tapes.
so, is the recovery process in this case is looking for the exchange savesets and not finding the indexes.
Anderson,
th virtual node name is : mailx-node
physical nodes 1 and 2 names: mailx-node1 and mailx-node1 respectively.

When you configure exchange to backup exchange on a cluster you need to create a cliente with virtual node name and put option -a on nsrxchsv backup command also you need verify if index information about exchange backup is saved on virtual_node_name CFI.
When you do a restore on NetWorker user for exchange in the screen bottom the client name should be virtual cluster name not the physical node.
