EMC Networker 7.5 SP1: nsrcjmgr.exe missing
For the first time I installed version 7.5 SP1 of the EMC Networker client on Windows Server 2003 SP2.
But there is no C:\Program Files\Legato\nsr\bin\nsrcjmgr.exe, which is the "Networker Change Journal Manager". The corresponding start menu item is also missing. Has the journal manager become osolete on versions >= 7.5?
Thanks in advance,
coconut

That's true, I could prove that by inspecting the installer with 7-zip.
I put the first machine aside, leaving the broken installation untouched and installed 7.5.1 on a 2nd machine; also a Windows Server 2003 SP2. Note: both are Windows domain controllers.
Same effect here: no start menu item, no binary nsrcjmgr.exe, neither in C:\Program Files\Legato\nsr\bin\ nor elsewhere.

EMC® NetWorker® Release 7.6 Administration Guide

I found the following on page 736 :
"Note: When VSS is used, the Microsoft Change Journal is not used. Microsoft Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 are VSS only, so Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 do not use the Windows Change Journal."
Well, let 's ignore for the moment that I have 7.5.1 instead 7.6. What does "When VSS is used" exactly mean? Does it mean 'as long as the VSS service on Windows Server 2003 isn 't disabled Microsoft Change Journal is not used'? Is it possible that the installer omits installing nsrcjmgr.exe when he detects a non-disabled Volume Shadow Copy Service?

Open a ticket with Support so this can be investigated more closely.
