Exchange 2007 mailbox and public folders backup problem

Hi

I have problem with backing up Exchange 2007 mailboxes from client and from Networker server.
Error log for mailbox backup:

[6524] 03/05/07 15:54:32 mapi(1257): OpenMsgStore() = 0x8004011d: The Microsoft Exchange Server computer is not available. Either there are network problems or the Microsoft Exchange Server computer is down for maintenance. (Microsoft Exchange Server Information Store)
[6524] 03/05/07 15:54:32 svmain(1110): process_mb_item_backup failed with status = 0x8004011d

From application log:
mapi(1257): OpenMsgStore() = 0x8004011d: The Microsoft Exchange Server computer is not available. Either there are network problems or the Microsoft Exchange Server computer is down for maintenance. (Microsoft Exchange Server Information Store)

Another problem is with public folders.

When I try to select Public Folders Trees from client I get popup with error:
Error status received:Element not found.

From application log:
Unable to locate folder tree virtual directory for "Public Folders" 0x490

On exchange server Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI Client and Collaboration Data Objects 1.2.1 is installed.

System and Exchange database backup is OK.

Version of networker client and exchange module:
nsrxchmbsv.exe Version: 5.0.0.315
NetWorker nw_7_3_2_jumbo.Build.11

Check KB first - there used to be a good article inside about this when 0x8004011d is returned. In short it is a permission issue.

Yes, 0x8004011d is permission issue but I use Exchange admin account with send and receive as permission to make backup.
I try to login with that user to my mailbox. Everything work OK (send, receive ..)

Yesterday first problem was that in Networker exchange client I was unable to see list off mailboxes. Messaging API and Collaboration Data Objects was installed. After installation of Outlook that problem was resolved (I was able to see mailbox and folders).

Today I can see mailboxes but without folders ?!

I try to remove Outlook and now I cannot see any mailbox ?!

Error in application log:
mapi(4220): Could not open EMS Store for Exchange Server EXC, status 0x80040111.

I try to reinstall Messaging API and Collaboration Data Objects 1.2.1 v6.5.7888.0 but problem is same. I cannot see any mailbox. Error is same.
mapi(4220): Could not open EMS Store for Exchange Server EXC, status 0x80040111.

I have Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2007 in Exchange organization. On 2003 backup is working excellent (with same account). I move my mailbox to new 2007. And now I have problem with mailbox backup.

It's possible that with 2007 you need some additional things to be set up - you may wish to check it out with MS. I assume under security tab for server you have "Allow inheritable permissions from parent to propagate to this object" unchecked and set permissions correctly for:
- System Administrator
- Domain Administrator
- Enterprise Administrator

At least that used to be something to be done before with 2003. With 2007 if something additional needs to be set you may wish to check that with MS support.

Btw, what saveset do you use for 2007 backup? For MB you must use nsrxchmbsv now...

I run nsrxchmbsv -s nwserver -g Test MSEXCH:MB/mailbox with success.
I successfully restore part of mailbox from nw exchange client.

At same time I cannot see list of mailboxes from nw exchange client.

Probably permission of some kind, you may wish to check with both supports (MS and EMC even MS seems to be the one who needs to answer this).
