Getting unspecified error on console GUI

Question

Hi everyone, I have been getting this error which stops me from doing recovery or anything else other than monitoring. After I login to console, there will be pop up with below message  Unable to connect to server: Unable to authenticate with server : Authentication error; why = Failed (unspecified error) If i go to the 'monitoring' tab, i could still monitor any running job however if i go 'protection' it will pop up again and i would not be able to see any clients in the server So far the only workaround i have is to restart the networker services however I can't do that everytime it happens because of running backup job.  Appreciate any help from anyone who experienced this before

@mfadzli, I am assuming that you are using a separate NMC server and the services does not have sufficient permissions or loosing permissions somehow. I would suggest you monitor the daemon.raw and look for auth related errors.

Restarting of nmc services isn't good enough? That would not interfere with any running backups, unlike restarting nw services.

Running an up2date version of nw? Nmc running on nw server itself? Platform?
