How to make a notification in the mail

On Windows server, we use a utility called blat. You can download it from the web. SMTP service on backup server should be running. Create a mail on CMD using blat and then type the blat command in the notification for which you want the alerts to be generated.

Similarly, non-windows have Os utilities like mail etc. that can help. Again test a mail form OS cmd and then type that command line in Notifications under Configuration on NMC.

Please remember that the output of the notification is piped directly to the command you specify in the action field.

Using NMC GUI --> Configuration --> Notifications....
