Go to cmd and do:
net stop gstd
net start gstd

and try to login again.

I tried clearing the cache, and it didn't work. Still get the same error. I noticed that the second error I get says "Internal Error: Unable to get database handle". I hadn't noticed that error before. I think all of the services are running - I see EMC GST Service, NetWorker Backup and Recover Server, Networker Power Monitor, NetWorker Remote Exec Service - all running. There is a NetWorker Host Agent that isn't running, but it's set for manual, so I assume that it's not needed at this time, or else it would be running.

Are you sure NMC was running? Under assumption that it was you could call javaws and clean cache - that usually helps with java jammed applications.

That did the trick! I had thought about rebooting the server, but there are some other fairly critical apps running on it, and I didn't know for sure what services were involved with NMC. Thanks!
