Move device ownership from one storage node to another in Networker
Currently our networker server is also acting as storage node.
And it has 300 devices connected to it. This causes extra load on our networker server causing it to crash every weekend.
We have created a new storage node to alleviate some load of the networker server. How can we move devices with data in it to use the new storage node. without losing data.

To move a DD boost device to another SN is a pretty simple method. You should proceed as follows:
- if it does not exist, add the new storage node to you configuration first
- unmount the existing DD device
- copy the existing DD device resource - use the same device name but add the prefix for the new SN as follows rd=snode_name:old_device_name
- now you should be able to mount the volume already
Do not forget to adjust the client's Storage Nodes list so that the new SN will be used first - nsrserverhost should be the last one in the list. And do this for all your clients you want to be processed via the new SN.
