Networker 7.3.2 and vtl not working together

I'm having a problem getting jobs to pull and use tapes on my NetApp VTL. I have plenty of available virutal tapes and drives but I keep getting the message, "Waiting for 1 writable volume to backup pool 'WindowsVTL' tape(s) on bksrvr.umc.ulh.org." Again, there appear to be lots of available media and tapes open and ready. It's just not picking them up. Thanks,
Dave

Are all device available? What happens if you load one device manually?

Try to mount manually volume (GUI or cmd) and see if that is successful.

Perhaps you can do it that way too (with old nwadmin on Windows you could do it, not sure about NMC) - I personally prefer command line. But yes, that was my 2nd question.

Are you talking about actually dragging a tape from the available tapes directly to the drive?

All devices appear to be available on the server, both physically and logically. It's just not pulling tapes.

I'm having problems mounting the tape manually. Do I need to right click on one of my tape drives and select deposit?

No, you should select mount. (I believe that is the first icon in NMC after | sign in row where you have multiple icons). Or use nsrjb command to mount a tape from command line. You may wish to send nsrjb output in case you re w/o clue about the command and someone will give you a hand.
