Networker 7.6 SP4 Inquiry command don't show any SCSI divaces
Hello,
We have a problem with Networker 7.6 SP4.
We building new backup infrastructure, and we adding 2 storage nodes to the backup server(Suse).
Storage node A work fine- can backup, but storage node B not.
Sorage node B is:
OS: Windows 2003 x64 bit SP2
HBA: 2x8GB Emulex
Hardware: Dell
Sorage node B see Library Divace manager- see 2 tape LTO5 and robotic divace- everything is ok, but when running "inquiry" on Storage node can't see any SCSI divaces.
I've updated all firmware on HBA, drivers- everythink is ok on Divace manager.
I can't change settings on HBA(HBA Anywhere), because this node B have active connect to Clariion and Oracle work 24x7.

Yes, it's inquire, but i was on customer site and wrote it wrong.
I've resolved the problem-it was microsoft problem, not a networker...

Command to query scsi devices is 'inquire' not "inquiry".
If you are running inquire command, run it with these switches "inquire -cl".
Also run 'dvdetect -s ' on storage node. This will detect library and updates the networker server with details about the library. You should be able to see the unconfigured library under storage node now.
