Networker 8.0.1.1 Bootstrap notification
Hi members,
in the past (7.6.x and earlier) we used the bootstrap notification not to directly send the bootstrap via email (e.g. to root) but to temporary store the information in a file and copy it via scp to a monitoring server (all linux). Since we moved to NetWorker 8.x this seems not to work anymore. Here the command we have been using in the 'Action' field until now:
/bin/cat >> /tmp/bootstrap.$$;scp /tmp/bootstrap.$$ special_user@monitoring-server:~/Bootstraps/Bootstrap; rm /tmp/bootstrap.$$

This is correct - I found myself the same. Bootstrap workflow has been changed as those who didn't use "no index save" were having some big performance issues with mminfo -B which would run upon completion of the group. So, trick with cat no longer works in NW8. However, mminfo -B is now fast so you may wish to call it instead.

Please consider moving this question to the proper forum for maximum visibility. Questions written to the users' own "Discussions" space don't get the same amount of attention and questions can go unanswered for a long time.
