Networker Backups fail during Microsoft Cluster Failover

We have a Microsoft Clustered server wich due to resource constraints has to be failed over between the two server nodes once at night and once in the morning.  I am backing up the client under the cluster resource name and have the both server nodes added to the Remote Access configuration.  We are running Netorker version 7.6.5.7.  We are backing up a very large amount of small files on these servers.  My backups do not seem to be surviving the cluster failover from one node to the other.  Is anyone aware of any settings I can tweak so that the backup remains running during the failover between nodes?

Hi techwom,

Which data you backed up, Node or Virtual Server? Have you checked the section of backing up data on Windows cluster environments in admin guide? I'd like to suggest you go through the contents in the section first:

It won't as you break TCP connection during failover.  What you can do is restart it and to have amount of data as small as possible when doing restarts, you may wish to explore checkpoint feature, but you will need to update to recent code for that.
