Hello,

Early access will be at the end of the month.  General availability is to be determined as it relies on successful monitoring of the early access customers.  I'll post the process for early access in the next few days.  Hopefully you'll join in the early access program!

Thanks,

Allan

Hi Allan

I would like to be considered for the early access program.  How do we find out if our "application" has been successful?

Many thanks

Rich

The process is actually very technical.  I use my one-of-a kind Legato hat and put everyones name in it and pull a few winners.  Without this hat, it would not be official.  You can see from the photo that your name has a pretty good spot right on top!

All kidding aside.. The process will be using feedback central and filling out a site survey.  If the site survey is not crazy, then you'll be in the program and have access to the binaries.  As soon as we work out a few more details, I'll post a new message outlining the entire process.

Stay tuned!

Allan

Let's hope you don't inadvertently take your hat off on a windy day before the prizes are handed out

Here's what I found.  If you need doc today for the Beta, then you'll need to use the NMM 2.2 SP1 doc's.  Here are the Powerlink locations:

NetWorker Module for Microsoft Applications 2.2 SP1 Installation Guide

NetWorker Module for Microsoft Applications 2.2 SP1 Administration Guide

NetWorker Module for Microsoft Applications 2.2 SP1 Release Notes

On a side note, since you were part of the Beta- you will automatically be in the RA program.  This is expected on Friday.  2.3 docs will be available at that time.

Thanks!

Allan

Thanks.. I installed the NMM 2.3 software and configured the client in the way it is in NMM 2.2, but they are failing..

hmm You are kind of in a tough spot timing wise.  Usually support for a Beta is handled through Feedback Central.  But since the Beta is now closed, not sure if that will help you much.  Friday is sooo close!

Hi Allan.

Just one idea what EMC can do for customers that are desperatelly waiting for new updated software for supportability:

- Make the documentation available as soon as possible even though the software is not GA yet. It's probably more difficult to make sure the software is ready for GA than the documentation. If I had access to the 7.6.2 and NMM 2.3 documentation as of now, I would start reading it even if I have to wait for the binaries for a few days.

Almost can't wait until friday and mid April

Johannes
