Networker schedule override - "last day"

Here is what I normally do:

Go into the “Schedules” under “Configuration” and select but do not open your schedule. Right click on it and ensure the checkbox is turned off for Show Schedule as calendar.

Then open your schedule and put five weeks worth of skips under action. Put in the override for when you want the full to happen.

Here is an example of the full every third Sunday.

OK here is what I would do.

Once the checkbox is removed open your schedule and do like I am showing you below.

Action field: 5 full weeks of skip

Override field: full last day every month

Once done click on OK and Voila!  you are good to go.

You can now put your checkbox back on if you want to check your schedule as a calendar.

Thanks for this information but I already did it, exactly the same ... but, according to this calendar (switched back to calendar view), the next full backup will happens on march, 29th not the 31th as an explained it in my initial post.

I hope to find an explanation to this problem to correct it definitively.

I’ve got the same behavior with a period of month, create a new calendar with a week period, skip on 7 days and your override “full last day every month” should be ok.

I tested it and it still doesn't work. Whatever I do, last day of march is on the 29th, last day of may is the 30th etc.

Post both snapshot views of your calendar so we can have a look.

In fact you’re right, I apologize for that.

According to the command reference documentation, the use of "last" for number is not supported (for example, "last friday" cannot be used to refer to the last Friday of the month).

I’m afraid that the only solution is to specify the level for each month, the only problem is for February every four year…

Use of last is undocumented and I can't remember off the top of my head how it works!  However, I think the way you had applied it was meant to be correct.  You may be able to get it to work like this:

Add your month of skips in the action field as before

In the override field type:

     Full last Saturday every month

     Full last Friday every month

     ....

     Full last Sunday every month

I believe I am right in saying the override field works on the first line it matches up so if it fails to match up one override it will check the next and so on until it reaches the last one and uses the configured level.

However I would expect the original override to work.  It seems evident that the last day of the month is being calculated incorrectly.  I can't see any pattern to the assignment of last day in your original directive which makes it the more confusing!

A bit clunky, but I believe that this works and is supported. Set the override to the following:
