Hi Deepu,

I saw the same post from you in 3 different threats. Could you please mark those you want as answered, and keep only one single threat for this issue?

Thank you very much.

Carlos.

I've been using NMSQL so far, but latest NMM has that module in too (due to VDI support).  With that in mind, I don't see much issues (at least not with VDI approach).

Thanks a lot we will be using VDI only.

Since we are doing a SQL2012- cluster servers and ready only server

Like A,B and AB

When we  installed NW client and NMM2.4 on both the cluster do we need to pick  drive which is in cluster group or c drive of both the server are to be taken?

And what about the read only DB server ?

Do we need to have them on same group ?

Simple questions for people in NW community but since i am new to NW i want to make sure.......

Thank you

I haven't use NMM 2.4 yet, but due to adoption of SQL 2012 I will have to move there soon myself - is it possible this sort of configuration topic is not addressed by documentation (didn't check it myself yet).

In Windows the cluster are handled in a way that you neec client resources for physical nodes and virtual nodes.  Each node has resource associated in cluster management for network and ownership over storage so that's easy. However, SQL 2012 is application cluster and not OS cluster (unless you have something different) so things might be a bit different (think of Exchange 2012 or Oracle RAC).

If you are using NMM, Pool entry in client configuration has to be empty.

In Media - Media Pools - Name_of_Pool - Data Source box, check desired backup group, and try again.
