Not all files are in the backup (Windows Client)

Hi

I have at problem with one of my windows servers. It's a Windows 2003 server (64bit) with the newest networker client. (7.4 SP4)

Networker doesn't take backup of all files and directories, even though there is no special directives. When starting the Networker client on the server, only some of the directories are showed and I can't go back in time (change browser time)

It looks like the indexes only are stored from the last day.

What can be wrong, and where do I have to look for at solution?

No, it's not in a cluster.
It's a single machine running af sharepoint database. (and some other ms sql stuff)

Is this a cluster environment? If it is you must create a virtual client to backup cluster discs.

Check your browse policy for this client. It could be that the browse period is getting set at something less than 1 day due to which nsrim is removing the cfi entries. Increasing the browse period should solve your problem in this case, keep in mind that increasing the browse period will increase the size of your index.

Sounds like 24 hour nsrim check is removing your index db. But given that you see only part of the backup makes this even more interesting. Support should check your configuration and logs and from that point it should be rather quick way into resolution.

The browsertime is 6 months on all servers. So, that is not the problem
