nsrck: File index error

I'm testing the disaster recovery site but after the mmrecov command and the replaced res directory with res.R, when I running the nsrck -L7 command I receive this error:

nsrck: File index error: can't find index backups for 'serverclientname' on server 'servebackupname'

I assume 'serverclientname' is DR name while 'servebackupname' is real name of the server - am I right? Or to put it in other words, did you 'serverclientname' defined on client on 'servebackupname' before?

Did you have indexes existing for that particular client? You could check your media database, either through the volumes tab or with the mminfo command:

mminfo -q "name=index:clientname"

If you created the client resource but never backed it up it may give an error like this.

One more thing - does the error occur for all clients, or just a selection? Can you verify by looking in the volumes tab that you have recovered your media database (ie volumes will be listed there with savesets on the volume_ - you could use mminfo -m to confirm this too...

The serverclientname is the client that I installed the Networker Client software and i backupped.
The serverbakupname is the server with Network server software installed.

If you do mminfo query do you index being backed up for that client?

I have this problem for all clients in the networker administrator software.
In the volumes tab i see the database imported from mmrecov.
I tried mminfo -q "name=index:clientname" command but the result is not find elements for this query.
I created a pool with Save sets options:
Bootstrap
Index:
I had run mmrecov for this volume.
The server on DR site is an existing Networker server.
When I test the procedure for DR I rename this server and then run mmrecove and......

Might be that part with renaming that is breaking the whole thing... if you do "mminfo -av -r name, client | grep index" do you get anything?

It sounds to me like the mmrecov process was not successful... Are you able to see your original configuration (clients, groups, schedules etc)?

Now I'm not in the DR site.
But after the mmrecov I see th configurationsame Production site.
I see the index folder for the clients imported in the Networker Administrator but these folders have small sizes.

You need to run ncrck -L7 for other clients after mmrecov.

I did this few times, but in my case DR server had the same name and we did this both via mmrecov and with second approach which included mirroring of /nsr and using it directly on DR host if required. Both tests were successful (performed with 7.1.3).

How much index data were we seeing in the original installation? You could run the nsrls command there to get this information.

I have a doubt:
I'd like to know if the index will be backup automatically if I setting in the pool preference The Store index entries to YES.

When set on pool - online index won't get updated at all. When set on group, online index will get updated, but not saved to offline copy.

In group preferencies (sounds like your question is an answer). You will need to set hidden options on (view details) to see those.
