nsrck: File index error

... and under Options one of the options is the one you are looking for.

I have these options:
No monitor; No index save; No save; Verbose; Estimate; Preview; Manual Restart; Revert to Full when SSC fails; Remove level 1 on SSC.
All options are unselected

If you select No Index Save then you will have what has been described before for that option.

I have the same problem again.
When I run nsrck -L7 command I received the error < >
But if I run NWAdmin in the Volumese I can see all volume of tape that I recovered from mmrecov command.
If I run only nsrck command without option the replay is:
nsrck: cheking index for 'servername'
nsrck: c:\ProgramFiles\nsr\index\'servername' contains 0 records occupyng 0Kb.

So media db is back, but it can't find client index for specific client. Do you see it when you execute mminfo -av -r name,client | grep index ?

I have a Windows system. The grep command is not correct.
It's the same command as mminfo -av -c 'clientname' -q"name=index:'clientname'"

Use findstr instead of grep (that would be Windows equivalent).

I received more line with index:'clientname' 'bakupservername'
Now what I do?

The server's name in the mmifo report is 'serverbackupname.domain.it'
When I run nsrck -L7 command, it find in 'serverbakupname' without the domain extension.
I'm sure that I have inserted the name with the domain extension in the Alias name

Could be name issue... usually server is pretty sensitive to such changes. On Windows boxes I believe you need to set domain name in hostname properties. Not sure if that is your issue. The best thing would be to berify it with support.
