nsrlcpd is not running for this jukebox

I'm running Networker 7.31 and our backups were running find and now I'm receiving an error "nsrlcpd is not running for this jukebox" when trying to do anything with the tape library. I cannot load tapes, label or even unload tapes. Anybody have any thoughts?

What happened before you got that message in logs? If you restart NW does it run again? If not check if your library is enabled.

The jukebox is on a storage node? Nw cannot contact the nsrlcpd daemon, and maybe the storage node is down or the daemon is hung, at least these are the most common causes of this error. Try to restart services/daemons on the SN or server and see if it helps. Then we can search for the root of the problem.

Thank you both for replying. To answer the question rather quickly, if I restarted the services, it disabled the tape library. I found out what the root cause was and I believe it was the fact that I had too many tapes in the jukebox. I left 2 empty slows in the bins, however, i didn't notice that there was a tape in the bar code reader section when I put them in there. Our library requires 2 open slots, but I believe it only had 1 available. I manually ejected the 2 tapes from the tape drive and next thing you know, things began to work. I'm not sure if that was the root cause, but I attributed it to that. Thanks again.
