Out of memory error

While trying to configure a client running on Windows Itanium using the client backup configuration wizard from the administration console, with networker 7.5.1 build 269 I always get a out of memory error and the wizard dialog closes, I ran the same configuration on a windows 32bit client without problems, is there a way to see the error log in order to obtain more info on the cause of this message.

Check the version of your java. And find out whether it is supported with this version of NMC.

I uninstalled all the java versions and reinstalled version 1.6.0_15 after rebooting, and the error still occurs, I'm trying to run the console from a Windows Vista Business version with IE 8.

Still no luck, I rebooted the machine after uninstalling java, installed java and rebooted again, the same error occurs, I tried running the client on a different machine running windows XP SP2 and java build 1.5.0_10 with the same results.

Have you checked you do not have multiple versions of java installed?

Is this also the host where the NMC server is running or this is only GUI hosts? If this is only GUI host you can always try to connect to NMC from different location pointing your webbrowser to: http://nmc_server:9000. It will install the java applets on your site and you will be able to administer the server from other host.

I only have one version of java installed, I uninstalled all the versions, navigated to nmc with my browser (explorer 8), reinstalled java directly from the java web page, rebooted the computer and I still get the same error. After this I tried on a machine running Windows XP SP2 with the same procedure and the out of memory error persists. I tried to run the client directly from the server but since it's a Windows Itanium, there´s no java version available. I guess I'll just have to configure the backups without the fancy wizard.
