Permission denied - no Backup local data privlege

Recently I changed the names of several servers and now when I try to run a backup on them, it is telling that permisison denied, user "System" on 10.x.x.x. does not have "Backup local data" privilege.

Not sure how to restore this permission?

Any help is appreciated,
Mike

First define that IP server to be resolvable via DNS or at least local hosts table. After that define user SYSTEM at that host according to permission criteria you wish to assign in either user groups or server properties if you plan to add it as admin.

Another thing I'd like you to check: Did you change the IP or hostname of your backup server? This message can also be the result of a permission conflict between management Console and backup server. In this case use the nsraddadmin command to allow management user to administrate your backup server.

Hrvoje,

Your solution was perfect. Once I added user=system to the admin account in Networker and put the server I was trying to back up my hosts file on my backup server, it worked.

Problem solved.
