Process for recovering a Windows NetWorker Backup Server
I'm trying to find the process for recovering a Windows NetWorker Backup Server.
The Disaster Recovery Guide does not provide sufficient detail and the EMC SolVe Generator also seems to omit a section on how to perform a BMR of the NetWorker server when there is no NetWorker server to connect to. However, it does elude to using BMR to bring back the OS first. Can anyone point me in the direction of an article that explains that process?
I am familiar with the process of recovering the NW Server from scratch e.g. rebuilding the OS, installing NetWorker, configuring devices and then recovering the bootstrap. However, if there is a process for recovering the OS with BMR I would like to test that.

Obviously you can't use BMR for NW since server is not up so you must reinstall OS and app (unless that server is backed up on some other server).

That's what I would have expected however the 'NetWorker Server Disaster Recovery and Availability Best Practices Guide' (V8.1) includes a diagram on pg 11 that includes BMR in the workflow for DR of a Windows 2008 server.
Also, when you launch SolVeDesktop and generate a NetWorker procedure doc for a recovery of a NetWorker server you have to select BMR on one of the steps otherwise the document it generates is blank.

See what I said - that's where it ends.
