Redirected recovery

Hi evrybody,

I'm looking to do a redirected recovery (Networker 7.6.2) from a client to another and for some client its work fine. But for one of those, i already have this error message:

39077:nsrexec: error, remote exec problem for command `recover': The network path was not found.

The Firewall port range 7937-9936 is open bidirectionnal. And I don't know what to do next...

Is anyone have any idea? thanks.

Hi Greg,

Have a look at the Configuring TCP Networks and Network Firewalls for EMC NetWorker document.  Page 22 details testing using netstat and nsradmin commands to diagnose issues with network communication.

Another useful resource is the article Name Resolution Troubleshooting Best Practices.   In a more general sense, if you have some clients for which this is working and some not, you may want to concentrate on trying to find the difference between these two categories of client which should point you in the right direction.

Hi,

Make sure that the two clients can communicate with each other and that the user you are using has the correct permissions.    There are a number of requirements listed in the Administration Guide page 330 which you should read through and make sure that everything is configured as it should.

Hello Bobby,

Thanks a lot for your answer. Unfortunatly I guess that all requirement are OK. In the remote Acces of my client, i've put *@* just to be sure.

Is ther another User that I miss to check? (I'm pretty new by Networker...).

Thanks again, regards.
