Restore Lotus with Networker User for Lotus

Is this really directed restore?  Did you select source as the one where backup is made?  If this is directed restore, does target have permissions to access source client?  Are you running this from target client?

I will explain my situation,

I have two servers with Lotus Notes : Notes_01 and Notes_02

I have a server networker.

My server Notes_01 was delete for long time, and now i want to restore from Notes_02.

When i do my process on Notes_02, i see the Notes_01 :

0- I launch with my administrator account

1- I launch my appz : Networker User for Lotus

2- I choose operation >> directed recover

3- I choose my client notes

4- I choose my server destination

5- And i have this error : No index was found. You have not backed up any files from the source machine, or you need to be connected to the server as the supervisor.

My process is correct for my recover ?

Previously you said you wish to restore to 01.  OK, so it is the other way around? notes_01 -> notes_02?  In that case go to notes_02, start restore by browsing notes_01 data.  If you get an error, same suggestion as before applies except that roles are exchanged; notes_02 has to be on remote access list of notes_01 client.  You control that by going to notes_01 client and you will find remote access field which you can populate with *@notes_02 and that should give any user from notes_02 to access index data of notes_01 client.

So i can activate this field on my Notes_01 it's shutdown :/

but i can see on my server networker >> configuration >> client Notes_01 >> that on remote control *@*

When i go on my server networker, i can open my tape and my saveset, and i can see few Saveset NOTES: browsable and NOTES: recycled

How long has the NOTES_01 been shutdown. Do you know the period of the browse policy set on the client. First ensure that the data that you are trying to restore is browseable. You can do this by running the following command :

mminfo -avot -c notes_01 -t time_of_restore

With scanner.  nsrck you can only use if you have preserved index files for notes_01.

So, you are notes_01 and with to restore from notes_02?  First question is if notes_01 is authorized on remote access list of notes_02 client to be even able to read notes_02 index data.  If not, this is the error you will get.

NOTES savesets that you wish to restore need to be browsable if you plan to restore it (worst case scenario is that you will need to scan them back).  DNS lookup you should fix and quick'n'dirty way of doing it is to fake it with hosts table (I assume when you decommissioned notes_01 you decommissioned DNS entry as well).

If i can't with GUI maybe with command line that works ?

You need NMDA cfg file.  Both GUI and CLI use it.

It's preserved in a way that you can scan it for sure.  As long as you have data in mdb for what is on tape, you can always put it back.
