Save fails trying to resolve IPv6 address.
We have been running backups on several clients (AIX, Linux and Windows) after installing a new installation with version 7.5SP1 without any problem. Since last week however 2 AIX systems fail with the following problem:
savefs: Failed to resolve the IPv6 localhost address ::1. Please
verify an entry for the IPv6 localhost address exists in your
/etc/hosts file.
In the hosts file on the NetWorker Server there is such an entry (don't know who put it there), but on the AIX clients there was not. We have put such an entry in the clients host file, but this did not resolve the problem.
Can someone explain what the problem can be? What could have been changed in the network environment (i think), that causes this problem?
Regards,
Harry
