[Solaris 10] Networker Management Console not supported?

The Networker 8.1 documentation states that the management console isn't supported for use in non-global zones, and sure enough, when attempting to install the NMC package in a zone, there is a check that would normally prevent its installation.

However, a simple modification to that check allows the console to be installed in a zone, and from that point forward, it seems to work perfectly.

I'm curious why EMC labels the console 'unsupported' in a zone setting when it seems to work without issue. What features/functionality/stability am I losing (if any) by installing the console in this way?

Additionally, is console support for non-global zones something that EMC plans to include in the future?
