Check that you don't have any proxy settings that would stop the connection. I have seen on a number of sites in the past 3 months that proxy settings have stopped access to the NMC. Try diasbling the settings and re-connecting.
you should not have Java 1.6 enabled. you should look that you exclude the NMC Console Server in the Proxy settings for Firefox, Internet Explorer..... you should call the Networkteam if they made a proxy.pac file and they should exlude your NMC server in that file to be resolved over the Internet.......
So that's it, but you should also check if the gstd service is running on the NMC Server...
i think service gstd stop. you can testing via telnet to networker server port 9000 if it not reply --> networker server down. i think you can restart the server.
The reason of this error is that '' NMC is not able to contact to its database" For this you can check the following things:
1)There is ''gstdb'' (Datbase) in the management folder -Check that the folder is fine on the server . 2)Check that the EMC Gst service is running properly on the server .You can also restart that. 3) Check that only the Correct Java version is installed or enabled on the server .If there is two three versions of Java is installed and enabled then also it can create problems.
