Yes. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/951568 is handy too if using VSS tracing.

I have also problems with 2003 x64 servers VSS system filesets. System backup freezes when backuping disk quota databases. Will this patch help? Also backups freezes in same point if doing without VSS.

We have NW7.4SP4 server and clients.

I will try this as I did not see this KB, I saw something similar but required re-registering a number of things and restarting some services sounded pretty involved to do on many servers. I will apply this on a few serves and see if it helps.

I could be wrong, but I believe there was a note in release supplement for x64 systems and VSS where it said that something was really badly broken and was even not supported (not sure if it was not supported at all or unless some patch was applied). Check the release supplement to see if that entry is still there.

Does anyone know if this problem is SOLVED in 7.5.1.. or if this patch ALWAYS i required if using VSS and 7.5.1 on windows 2003 x64
