VMware 3.5, VCB 1.5, Hot-Add Method
Can Networker 7.4.4 take advantage of the VCB hot-add method? If so, can you direct me to documentation or hints on how to configure this? I have the VMware docs for setting up VCB and the helper VM. I'm just not sure if there's anything to be done on the Networker side.
Currently I'm backing up VMs using the VCB SAN method. This works well enough but I really want to avoid the shared storage configuration, fearing that someday my proxy server will decide to write a signature on the drives.
Thanks!
Nic

and the VCB release notes
(http://www.vmware.com/support/vi3/doc/vi3_vcb15_rel_notes.html#hotadd)
According to the release notes, "hotadd" was introduced with VCB 1.5 build 102898.
By the way, I have seen the feature referred to as "hotadd", "hot-add", and "hot add".
Thanks again.
