VSS error on VADP backup

I have several windows 2008 R2 clients that show up as failed whenever a full backup runs but shows up as successful when an incremental is completed. I checked the media savesets and it shows the full backup....

Here is the following message shown:

7285:save: Volumes selected do not support the use of VSS. NetWorker software will save the files using the legacy backup method. No snapshot will be taken.
7281:save: VSS snapshot failed with error 0x80071126 -- The file or directory is not a reparse point.
.
7284:save: Networker will save the files without the snapshot.
6681:save: Could not stat /\: No such file or directory

Is there a reason why this would result in as completed successfully for incremental and failed for full backups?

I'm still miles from using VADP (and I hate VSS), but check following:

http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/windowsbackup/thread/6b8cd7dd-bb43-44af-bb3c-5f4f98afb289/

There is  hint how to check what hasn't reparse flag,  Another thing to look, as strange as it may sound, is to check if VSS service is manual or automatic.  I have seen issues like this with another backup product when VSS on machine was set to manual.

I contacted EMC support and got a new save binary. I put it on the vadp proxy server and it is now working fine.

With the error, you would end up with the backup running twice when doing a full backup.
