1000mbps full duplex

Probably confirming my inquiry, but I've noticed you can set port speeds to half or full, 10 or 100mbps, but 1000mbps doesn't have an option of setting full or half duplex. Is there a method/way to force a port at 1000mbps full? The reason I ask as some intermediate equipment we use to link up ethernet connections between sites will not support auto-negotionation. Therefore, we can't use 1Gb links since we cannot force the duplex and speed.
