A connected question about PowerConnect switch and cisco router
Dear DELL Expert:
I have a connected question about PowerConnect switch and cisco router. This is the case:I just bought 2 units dell switch PowerConnect 2800 and my broader router is cisco 2900. Dell switch uplink to cisco 2900. My config is just like this:
dell powerconnect switch :trunk,vlan 10:192.169.1.2 255.255.255.252 ,static route:0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 192.169.1.1
cisco router g0/0:port mode route,192.169.1.1 255.255.255.252
Question:I cannot access 192.169.1.1. Who can help me? If dell and cisco cannot interconnect with each other?

Hi,
There should not be any compatibility issue between our switch and the Cisco switch. Is the Cisco also assigned to VLAN 10? Is this a new environment or was the switch or router already in place and working with other devices? Do you have a link light? How are you testing the connectivity? Is the port set to send tagged packets? ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_ser_stor_net/esuprt_powerconnect/powerconnect-2848_user%27s%20guide_en-us.pdf page 127
