can not connect to power connect 3024
hi,
I got a used PowerConnect 3024. it has been reset but I can not access the web interface. it is possible to make the first setup via the web interface or do I have to use the serial interface?

Hi Max,
It looks like you need to use the console port first in order to set an ip address for the switch so that you can access the web interface. Page 6 http://downloads.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_ser_stor_net/esuprt_powerconnect/powerconnect-enet-msw-24p-3024_User%27s%20Guide_en-us.pdf

I have the same problem. Is there no way reset the switch so I can just log on to it via the default ip? If not how does the console port work? will it connect with rs232 female to usb to my computer? and is it just automatic that my computer will recognize the switch? I have windows 7 pro. thanks in advance
