Cannot connect to 192.168.2.1

Question

I reset the switch to the factory default.  I changed my IP address to 192.168.2.100 and tried to connect to 192.168.2.1.  I absolutly could not connect or ping the address.  I also tried to connect and ping the address it was configured as with no luck.   Any thoughts as to what I'm doing wrong?   TIA Message Edited by bfons on 09-24-2006 09:01 PM

Hi,

Are you referring to the PC27xx switch? If so you could try resetting the switch back into unmanaged mode and then setting it back to managed mode, you should then be able to manage the switch via the default IP address which is 192.168.2.1

May be, you must configure you pc ip address 192.168.2.2, be cause your switch is 192.168.2.1.
