Crc-errors?
Short question about port mirroring and crc-errors.
Is that possible that portmirroring causes crc-errors on Powerconnect 3048. Switch itselfs can't see any errors but Network General sniffer can.
I had also try to sniff Powerconnect 5012 with port mirror option , and there I can't see crc-errors with sniffer.
thanks,
Jukka

I don't see how CRC errors can be introduced by port-mirroring. The packet is just copied to the mirror port and is not modified at all.

Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) Error indicates when data is corrupted. Calculating from all data, CRC validates packets of information sent by devices and verifies it against the data extracted, ensuring its accuracy. When sending packets over,BACnet automatically calculates and stores a CRC value for the packet.
