Dell PowerConnect 8024F Jumbo Frame not working
Hello,
I have 2 8024F connected to an EqualLogic array and 2 VMware host.
On both switches, all interfaces are configured to use MTU of 9216, the interface on the host are configured with MTU to 9000, the EQL is configured with MTU to 9000.
I have some iSCSI error in the ESXi logs and when i try to ping with a MTU up to 1472 it's ok, but when i try with a ping with packet size of 1473 and above, it's not working.
I tried the ping from ESXi (with vmkping) to the another ESXi host, to the EQL, and even with another Dell PE with a Windows Server 2012 R2 with MTU configured for Jumbo Frame too.
It seems like it's the switches that don't allow the MTU, even if all the interfaces are configured to 9216.
Any idea/help will be much appreciated.

For vSphere, I would make sure the 9000 MTU is set at BOTH the "vmk" "VMkernel adapter" level, as well as either the dVswitch or the standard vSwitch.
Other than that, check the switch firmware release notes, and update it if it's way behind.
The issue is most likely *not* on the EQL side seems like.
