dell s3100 switch inter vlan routing

hi,

i have a dell s3148 series switch (layer3). I have created 7 vlans each of different network. All the ports have been enabled and all the vlans has been enabled. All the vlans has been configured as access ports, port no 1 has been configured as trunk port. Is there any intervlan routing needs to be done?

When i connect to the trunk port, i could'nt access any of the vlans.

    Sree41,

If you are wanting to pass traffic between the vlans you would need to configure Inter-vlan, as  Inter-vlan routing is process of passing traffic between two different vlans. Just a reminder though, since traffic here is routed and not switched broadcast traffic will not be forwarded between the vlans. If you follow the link here, it covers the configuration of the vlans/inter-vlan.

Let me know what you see, and if you have additional details on the issue, as that would help.

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply. As per the link you shared, vlans has been created but i find it difficult to do intervlan routing. If there is any command or procedure to enable intervlan routing please share. The command mentioned on the kb article 'ip routing' is not working.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

As i am using os 9 version, all commands are different. Intervlan routing is a default feature and doesnot need to be enabled.

    Hi @sree41,

Did you manage to get inter-vlan working in OS9? If so, please share the steps. The documentation and support for OS9 hasn't been the greatest.
