Difference between Dell Powerconnect N4032F and 8132F
Hi!
Within the last days, the Dell PowerConnect 8100 did disappear from the Dell website and now, the M4000 series with the same features are presented.
Is it just a rename, or do these devices differ in any way? Can the M4000-firmwares be used on 8100 switches in the future?

Both Dell PowerConnect N4000 Series and Dell Networking PC8100 Series switches shares the same firmware image version (for example., N4000v6.1.0.1.stk). Dell Networking N4000 series switches can be stacked with Dell Networking PC8100 series switches with the entire stack required to run 6.0.0.8 or later firmware (6.1.0.1). Dell Networking PC8100 series switches can support both 5.x and 6.x firmware versions, but Dell Networking N4000 can support only 6.0.0.8 and later firmware versions (6.1.0.1)

Hi Stril,
It is the same hardware, it was just renamed to go with the new naming convention of the networking line. N4000 series ship with the powerconnect OS version 6, 8100 used version 5, but can be upgraded to 6 and then will report as N4000s.

Hi Dell team,
I am in Bogota Colombia.
The customer I am supporting has the Dell N4032F and also has the Power Connect 8132F.
The intention of use these 2 switches is to:
- be able to connect the card OCe 11102 with the Power Connect 8132F
and
- be able to connect the card NC552SFP with the Dell N4032F
in both cases in order to be able to support FC over Ethernet FCoE.
are the combinations correct?
both switches support FCoE?
