Enable SSLv3 on a PowerConnect 8132F

Question

I have a PowerConnect 8132F.

I just updated it to firmware v6.5.2.5

I have been trying to set up https but from googling the best I can find is that it still can only create self signed certificates that are SSLv1.

Is this true and if not, what commands do I run on the switch to have it create SSLv3 certificates?

I also found a link that indicated that it will support SSLv3, I just have to create certificates on some other server and then upload them. If that is my only option, then please just confirm.

Hi,

I do not see a way to specify the version of SSL for self signing. Firmware 6.2.6.6 disabled SSL v2 and v3 by default as well because of security vulnerabilities. ip http secure-protocol allows configuration.

I guess I really should ask what is the default security for https for this switch?

I thought I had read it was SSLv1 which would be an even bigger security risk than SSLv2 and SSLv3. TLSv1.0 is also recommended to avoid.

Mozilla will not allow me to access the switch with whatever version it created its self signed certificates and I would prefer not to bypass its restrictions so am trying to determine if it is possible to set this up with a decent https that Mozilla Firefox would accept.

Lastly if I create a TLS1.3 certificate outside of the unit will it understand and use it?

I have created some SSL certs for this switch on a different server.

My attempts at the copy command keep failing telling me I have the wrong URL.

I have tried pasting it here but this forum rejects it so I gather it is having a problem with one or more of the special characters.

Can you direct me to the correct command to use?
