force10 s4810.. PVST disable Interface
hello
I got a S4810 running PVST and for some reason I cant figure out why, it has disable some interface
Here`s interface config
interface TenGigabitEthernet 0/27
description "****CONNECTION TO SW5 - R8****"
no ip address
portmode hybrid
switchport
no shutdown
Here the show stp pvst error
Port 157 (TenGigabitEthernet 0/27) is disabled Discarding
Port path cost 20000, Port priority 128, Port Identifier 128.157
Designated root has priority 1, address 649e.f3e2.c9:00
Designated bridge has priority 4096, address 0001.e8d7.72:09
Designated port id is 128.157 , designated path cost 20000
Number of transitions to forwarding state 0
BPDU sent 0, received 0
The port is not in the Edge port mode
I got other interfaces configured exacly the same and it works, example
interface TenGigabitEthernet 0/26
description "****CONNECTION TO SW4 - R8****"
no ip address
portmode hybrid
switchport
no shutdown
Port 156 (TenGigabitEthernet 0/26) is designated Forwarding
Port path cost 20000, Port priority 128, Port Identifier 128.156
Designated root has priority 1, address 649e.f3e2.c9:00
Designated bridge has priority 4096, address 0001.e8d7.72:09
Designated port id is 128.156 , designated path cost 20000
Number of transitions to forwarding state 3
BPDU sent 161741, received 57
The port is not in the Edge port mode
Plz someone can point me in the right direction?

Hi,
It looks like it is putting some ports in disabled Discarding and some in designated Forwarding, which should be correct depending on which ports it is going to use.
