G1, G2, G3, G4
Can the G1 - 4 ports on a 3424 be used as trunk ports on a port based VLAN?

When not in stacking mode, all 4 ports are usable as regular Gigabit Ethernet ports on the switch.

Hmm...not sure I understand. What are you referring to when you say no membership tag?

I just went to the web page and I think I see your confusion. The web interface is labeling the G1-G4 ports as port # 25-28 instead of G1-G4. The port is really G1-4 but in fact they are index number 25-28 in the interface table on the switch. The Web interface should have shown the logical label instead of an internal label. I will report this as a bug against this switch.
For now the work around is to use the CLI to configure these ports (G1-G4).
If this is not the issue you are concern with then let me know.
