How To seperate Guests computers from network with 3324?
Hi,
I have a network at a hotel. Here is a quick overview:
CIsco 1702 Router
PowerConnect 3324
Each pc is directly switched.
I have a port going to a conference room where guest will need access to the internet only. With this switch can the port going to the conference room access the internet (T-1) connection only and not be able to see any other computer on my network. Basically, can I set the switch to block the users in the conference room from the network resources and other computers while still allowing internet access only?
Thanks,
Joe

If you are using VLANS, I would suggest setting up the conference room ports on a seperate VLAN which will isolate the traffic somewhat. Then I would set up strict ACLs on the conference ports only allowing the necessary Internet ports (80, 53, 110, etc).
