M8024-k CLI scp firmware upload failing
I have 11 M8024-k switches I need to upgrade the firmware on. They're currently on 5.1.7.5 and I need go to 5.1.13.1.
I use the command "copy image scp://username@192.168.1.1/Imagename.stk" and it ask for the password of the scp server. I enter it and it prompts about not being to use management while it's copying. I tell it yes. It then proceeds to copy and says the copy completed after it uploaded so many bytes.
After this I do "sh ver" and it shows that the current image is still 5.1.7.5 and image2 is 5.1.0.1
It never shows that the new code is uploaded and I've tried this on three different switches so far. Any idea what's going on here? This is the same exact way that the firmware upload pdf is showing how to upgrade the firmware.

Hi,
Try stepping up to a version in between and see if that will update.

I'm on 5.1.75 and going backwards from the most recent 5.1.13.1 I have tried:
5.1.12.2
5.1.10.1
5.1.8.2 (which is the next highest code above 5.1.13.1
None of these worked. I have noticed That for other switches in this chassis, which are the exact same as all the rest of the 11 switches, that one Dell's download and support page for their service tag that it says 5.0.0.4.A0* released on 6/19/2013 is the latest firmware and that there aren't options for a newer firmware. ALL M8204-k switches we have are on 5.1.7.5
And every time I upload a firmware I get the message that "File transfer operation completed successfully."
Entering a dir command shows no firmware, just image1 and image2. What's funny is that all firmware finish at 11950936 bytes transferred. Every single one I've tried does this no matter which version I've uploaded. Could there not be enough room on the switch's storage? Is there a way to check this? Right now we're dead in the water with upgrades on these thing.

Can you private message me the service tag?
