Mirroring for IDS Server on PowerConnect 3024
We have a PowerConnect 3024 and we want to place an IDS Server to analyze the Traffic on that network.
I found the Mirroring feature but it only let me mirror one port, and I need to have the IDS Server check all the traffic that flows on all ports (we did this on another network using Cisco SPAN Session feature)
Can I do this with this switch?
Thanks
FabianD.

The PowerConnect 3024/3048/5012 families are only capable of a 1:1 port mirror ratio. You can only mirror from a single source port to a single destination port.
The 3248/5212/5224 families have the same limitation.
The 3324/3348/6024 families are capable of mirroring multiple source ports to a single destination port. However, the 3348 has a limitation on port mirroring. The source and destination ports must reside on the same side of the bridge (ports 1-24 or ports 25-48 & g1-2). There are similar bridge limitations when the 3300 series switches configured in a stack.
