The N3248f-on does indeed support stacking, but it doesn't look to support Virtual Stacking. You can find the guidelines and stacking details on page 205-218 here.
I find some information about stacking, with ethernet ports. Set the mode of the port to either Ethernet or stacking (Dell Networking N1124-ON/N1148-ON, and N1500 Series only). That means my switches does not support virtual stacking over ethernet
