The error has not reappeared and everything as far as I can tell is working properly. This is a stack of 2 N4032 switches. The switch nor the stack have not been rebooted. I have seen some parity errors on this forum but not the one I got. Does anybody know what is means or can point me to a some manual where errors would be listed ? I checked N4032 documentation but did not find any reference to parity errors. Maybe there is nothing to do or maybe I just show reboot, or update firmware. I appreciate any input. Thank you

Hi,

It looks like a memory error that is getting corrected. If it is working now I would continue to monitor. Rebooting the stack and then updating firmware would be the next steps.

hi,

This is my third post as the first and second one got rejected/marked as spam(?) when I try to add the error log to the post.

How do I attache the error log to the post. I tried just pasting it or attach a screenshot or a code but it is always rejected...

We got some parity errors yesterday in the night on unit 0 (we have 2 units in the stack). The firmware is 6.3.3.10. We have it running for about 2.5 years with one maintenance to update from 6.2.0.5 to 6.3.3.10. The error has not reappeared since yesterday and everything seems to be working.

Is there a handbook with all the errors so they can be identified. I know they relate to L2_ENTRY_ONLY parity hardware inconsistency but I am not sure if anything needs to be done or how serious this error is.

Would you recommend rebooting the switch or updating firmware ?

Thank you

Thank you , the issue has not re-appeared and everything is working. Is there a documentation that would decipher errors like this ? Thank you

Unfortunately, there is not any documentation on the errors.
