N4032: VLAN and OOB config
Hello,
I think I do really not understand some net concepts.
I am trying to configure a N4032 switch, I made a soft-reset from a previous configuration. Now I can access via minicom and config it, but I am not able to access via HTTP and I assume it is because I am mixing some base concepts.
this is a scheme of what I'm want to do:
|----- iDRAC ----- ¿ ?
|
|--------------------| interface em1 --- public IP (assigned)
| LOGIN NODE |
|--------------------| interface em2 --- 10.1.1.1/24
em2:0 - 192.168.0.1/24 ---|
|
|--------------------| port_1 < --- eth --- > em2 --------|
| SWITCH |
|--------------------|
I though i needed a VLAN for the OOB like 192.168.0/24 segment, then assign an IP for each device and connect them via Switch but now, I think this is not the way ...
I don't know how to configure the switch for access via HTTP, I tryied this link:
but since I set it wrong it says that VLAN1 and OOB cannot be at the same segment.
I wanted 192.168.0.X be the "OOB" net and I assigned 192.168.0.2 to the switch but I cannot access to the HTTP client.
I just want to have a 10.1.1.0/24 segment for service and know how OOB works in order to connect to iDracs and the switch's client.
thanks all,
Sergio
